DESCRIPTION:
Maxwell Technologies' OP284 is a dual single-supply, 4 MHz bandwidth amplifier featuring rail-to-rail inputs and outputs and a greater than 100 krad (Si) total dose tolerance, depending upon space mission. Using Maxwell Technologies' radiation-hardened RAD-PAK(R) technology, it is guaranteed to operate from +3 to +36 (or 1.5 to 18) volts and will function with a single supply as low as +1.5 volts.
This amplifier is superb for single supply applications requiring both ac and precision dc performance. The combination of bandwidth, low noise and precision makes the OP284 useful in a wide variety of applications, including filters and instrumentation. Other applications for this amplifier include portable telecom equipment, power supply control and protection, and as an amplifier or buffer for transducers with wide output ranges. The ability to swing rail-to-rail at both the input and output enables designers to build multi-stage filters in single-supply systems and to maintain high signal-to-noise ratios. Maxwell Technologies' patented RAD-PAK(R) packaging technology incorporates radiation shielding in the microcircuit package. It eliminates the need for box shielding while providing the required radiation shielding for a lifetime in orbit or space mission. In a GEO orbit, RAD-PAK(R) provides greater than 100 krad (Si) radiation dose tolerance. This product is available with screening up to Class S.
